3 Places I’d Take Someone Visiting Valdosta for the First Time

When someone visits Valdosta, I don’t overcomplicate it.

I take them to three places that show them exactly what the city is about.

A Local Restaurant

This is always first. Food is one of the easiest ways to experience a place.

Big Nick’s is my go-to spot for soul-food and great drinks!

A Community Spot

Whether it’s a park, downtown, or an event, this is where you see how people actually live here.

Saunder’s Park is a great option; there are swings, basketball courts, and picnic areas.

You could also visit to Maker’s Market downtown; where local vendors set up to sell their homemade goods! I’ve gotten great things from these events.

A Unique Local Business

This is what makes Valdosta stand out. The small businesses here are what give the city its identity.

Cottonwood Market is a great local boutique with cool goodies; think clothing, jewlery and other neat finds.

Why These Three Matter

If someone enjoys these three stops, they’ll understand why people stay.

If you’re planning a visit or move, I can help you map it out.
